- Archdiocese of Chicago Pastoral Transitions Study Team
INSPIRE's work with several parish leadership teams generates rich insights into the issues of personnel transition in parish staffs. The experience of pastor transition, in particular, almost immediately expands the learning to a wider systems focus. Meanwhile, the Archdiocese has initiated a revised process for pastor placements. To leverage the new learning going on at both parish and archdiocesan levels, INSPIRE has enrolled leaders from several archdiocesan agencies drawn from the Personnel, Educational, and Catechetical ministries. They will experience INSPIRE's approach to personal and team learning, focused on the issues of pastor and pastoral team transition. There will be explorations drawn from on-site interviews, training and formal learning sessions, and from interdepartmental dialogue. INSPIRE leaders and archdiocesan participants anticipate learning that will generate new approaches to serving parishes and pastoral leadership teams.
